It’s back to the early days of UFO Magazine or (California UFO Magazine) for a fairly lighthearted romp through a publication that did its best to provide insight into all aspects of the UFO culture of the time, much to the chagrin of the buttoned-up nuts-and-bolts time. That tension, between “scientific” and “new age” approaches is very much apparent in this issue!
In fact, there’s so much good stuff in here, that we’ll be finishing it up on the next episode!

I’ve long believed there was undocumented plugin for WordPerfect 5.1, known only to the UFO cognoscenti, which could convert a single concise sentence into an over wrought treatise. Listening to Ms. Cooper’s editorial only confirms my suspicions.

A tension between scientific approaches and new age thought, in an issue featuring human/dolphin communication can only mean one thing: dolphin communication proponent and LSD/ketamine enthusiast, Dr. John C. Lilly! I know you didn’t cover that particular part of this issue in this episode, but I’m dying to know if California UFO Magazine managed to get an interview with the man.
